2019 has been a whirlwind year for me! I thought I would give you a little insight into what the last year of the decade looked like for me.

I kick started the year with an incredible opportunity to tour Australia with Buckle and Boots Country Music Festival. This was my first time to Australia and I was NOT prepared for the heat! We had an amazing time playing shows in Brisbane, Twin towns, Tamworth and loads more. We wrapped the tour up with a performance on the International Stage at Tamworth Festival. It was a hell of a way to finish the run of shows. I made some friends for life on that tour and absolutely fell in love with Australia. I hope to make it back real soon!

Returning to the UK I was eager to throw myself back into gigging and writing. Lucky for me C2C was just around the corner and I was super excited to have two slots across the weekend! I have been attending this festival for years and any Country fan in the UK will tell you it is a highlight of the year. Although I played in 2017, It was the result of winning the Yamaha Competiton so it felt really special to have been selected as an artist to appear that weekend. Luke was touring Australia so wasn't around to play but put me in touch with a much of super talented musicians who smashed the set. It was such a fab weekend, I even managed to get my mum to attend the arena and watch Keith Urban!

To top the C2C weekend off , I released my first single of 2019 'Stormchaser'. The reaction blew my mind! It was premiered on Chris Country, added to the Wild Country Playlist on Spotify and picked up on KIX Australian Radio!

May rolled in and festival season kicked off! Starting with a slot as one of my favourite festivals of the year - Buckle and Boots. If you've been, you know how amazing the festival is . It's a kind of festival where everybody is welcoming and in high spirits from the off, everybody mingles, you can be at the bar and find the headliner doing a Jagerbomb next to you!

I was lucky enough to team up with Blake O'connor , a friend I made whilst touring Australia. He is incredible and is back at Buckle and Boots this year so catch his spot!

Summer flew by in a blur of festivals (My

first time playing Millport Country Music Festival-what a weekend! )

I supported some incredible touring artists such as Jess and The Bandits and Jessica Lynn. I played many In the Rounds telling the stories behind my songs, such as Write Like a Girl and Whiskey Kisses rounds. I performed across the country and played Pizza Express in Holborn (a venue that had been on my bucket list!) and released another single 'Put It On You' again , to an unbelievably humbling reaction.

In August myself and Luke launched our brand new Manchester based event ' The Company You Keep' through UK Country Live!. The gig was one of my years highlights, sharing the stage with s many wonderful talented friends (Callum Williams, Luke Thomas, Gary Quinn, Finola, Jess Thristan) and getting such an amazing reaction from the crowd was exhilarating. We have since hosted a second successful night in November and look forward t the first of 2020 in February featuring Kezia Gill, O&O Duo, Megan Louise and Joe Martin!

I wrapped up 2020 with an incredible night at The British Country Music Awards where I won awards for 'UK Song of The Year ' for Stormchaser (again the reaction to this song has blown my mind and I want to take another chance to thank my wonderful co writers Luke Thomas, Jason Tucker and Daisy Davies) and UK Video of The Year for Drive, filmed by the super talented Matt Allen.

The awards took place at the Concord Hanger in Manchester which just made it extra cool!

I released my final song of the year 'Stay' , co written with Jess Thristan. The song was premiered on Country Hits Radio by the super cool, British country music championing Matt Spracklen. Thankyou all for the love you've shown this song. I included it on a cd collection of all my singles in the last 12 months called 'Used To Be Single' and you can grab this at my shows or my online store.

Aside from these highlights in my career I did lots of great things on a personal level. I was lucky enough to venture away to Menorca, Wales, North Yorkshire, Portugal and Belfast. I was a Bridesmaid for my best friend Nicole who made the most beautiful bride, I caught lots of gigs including Carrie Underwood, The Eagles and my childhood fave THE SPICE GIRLS!-all my 9 year old dreams came true!

I saw lots of theatre shows from Bodyguard to Guys and Dolls, Girl on the Train and The Meatloaf show but my favourite was watching Nashville Live in Liverpool(not biased because Luke's in that show I swear haha).

To top my year off I became an auntie- twice! My beautiful baby Niece and Nephew Mia and Reggie made our family grow a little more.

This year I am kicking off by supporting Olivia Lane in London and Manchester and have just been announced for Buckle and Boots festival! As I mentioned, our first The Company You Keep event is in Feb too. I hope to see you at a show!

I don't know what else 2020 brings but I'm excited to find out.
